Art Weekend
It was a great art weekend! I attended my first Art Market at Constructive Collective Friday night. It was a fun experience meeting a lot of cool people and sharing my art.
Constructive Collective was a nice venue. The front entrance has a window shopping vibe along Texas St. filled with modern art, sculptures and figurines. The warehouse had a faded yellow overlay to it with art all over the walls from Diego Robot, 3inks, Vanessa Clark Designs, and others. I was able to talk to a lot of great artists and meet some great people in the art community. Can’t wait to see what is next at Constructive Collective.
My next art stop was out to Bodega Loya to restock my section in the art gallery. My boys and I enjoyed freshly made juice and fresh farm grown salsa. It was delicious! Also picked some other produce for dinner.
The two new art pieces for my section are Desert Showgirl # 4 (lantanas) and Ristra. DS4 is a celebration of all the beautiful lantanas that are currently blooming all round the El Paso Chihuahua Desert Area. These flowers pack so much bright color. It took me awhile to learn the structure of the flower so it would be recognizable. I am happy with the result.
Ristra is also a current celebration of Chile Season here in the Rio Grande/Hatch Valley region. Ristras are beautiful decorations of chiles that hang from door entry ways and porches. It’s a great feeling seeing all the Ristras hanging in town. It’s a good reminder that Fall is coming.
Both prints are available at Bodega Loya and online shop.
